Portable Worlds utilised mobile phones for both display and creation of artworks. It explored the themes of connection and intimacy, portability and community, scale and distance. Visitors downloaded artworks to their phones, creating their own personalised viewing spaces.

The works revealed the changing shape of communication and community in the 21st century, and presented a new take on the ancient tradition of miniatures.
