Art After School (Kids 7 - 12 years)
The Art After School program is designed for children aged 7-12, to encourage development and expansion of creative skills in a relaxed atmosphere. The aim of this nine week program is to allow participants to explore art mediums with the aim of producing an original work at the end of the nine weeks. All materials are supplied. An adult is required to walk the child in and out of the gallery.

Creative Edge (Teens 13 - 15 years)
Creative Edge workshops are designed for teens aged 13 - 15, to encourage development and expansion of creative skills in a relaxed atmosphere. The aim of this nine week program is to allow participants to explore a number of mediums to create original works. Most materials are supplied; participants are encouraged to bring along found objects and ideas in the form of sketches to later sessions.

School Holiday Program (Family 3 - 6 years)

Plush Storybooks
Children will view the Embroiderer's Guild Victoria exhibition Threads Through Time as inspiration. Looking at themes of history and storytelling through textiles, participants will create a unique felt storybook.

Tuesday 6 April, 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Re-inventions
Children will view Paul Caporn's exhibition Modified as inspiration. Looking at themes of modification and machinery, participants will use their imagination to 're-create' a machine operated object using 2D collage.
All materials are supplied. Children must be accompanied by an adult during the session
$7.50 per session or $13.00 for both.

Looking at themes of symbols and patterns in textiles, participants will create a unique tote bag.

Looking at themes of modification and machinery, participants will use their imagination to 're-create' a machine operated object using 3D mixed media materials and found objects. Particiapants are encouraged to bring along paper, plastic, material and natural objects.
All materials supplied. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the gallery foyer before and after each workshop.
$10 per session or $17 for both. |
