Robert Clinch
9 April – 3 June 2011
Contemporary realist artist Robert Clinch highlights the beauty and intricate detail of manmade structures and our urban environment. Working directly from life, Clinch explores how buildings develop their own narratives alongside people and become repositories of history. The exhibition includes paintings, lithographs and a selection of preliminary studies that emphasize the layering and development of Clinch's working process.
Robert Clinch, Salad Sandwich, 1987, gouache, watercolour, drybrush. Private Collection.
