Dana Ashlakoff
And Where in the World
16 July – 12 August 2011
Dana Ashlakoff uses found articles and items from her local area to create her body of work which she notes “could come from anywhere – but it comes from here”. Her intention is to create connections within the Latrobe Valley. Her inspiration and visualisation is triggered by a particular quality an item may hold. Her process allows a perpetual altering of the form of meaning, in a poetic sense as much as in a formal or analytical sense.
Exhibition Opening and conversations with the artist Saturday, 23 July, 1.00pm - 3.00pm.
