Lyndy Lord: Etched In Nature
5 September - 4 October
Inspired by her immediate environment and surrounding culture, Lyndy explores the relationship between humanity and the natural world. She aims to make thought provoking images about our self-observation and self-knowledge with regards to our survival in nature, which is increasingly tenuous. Her work explores figurative narrative possibilities. The design, especially with the incorporation of borders, has been partly influenced by the art of the late middle-ages. This was an era, where printmaking developed and great innovation in illustration took place. Lyndy investigates this age of image making within her own work.
