Carolyn Lewens, Heather Shimmen and Mandy Gunn each have a history and ongoing urgent concern with environmental issues, frequently drawing on local stories, histories and geographies that are demonstrated in their work. Carolyn Lewens is a multimedia artists who work uses pre-photographic processes with post-photographic concerns, often in installations that combine analogue photography, in particular cyanotype photograms, with digital photomedia. Heather Shimmen is a printmaker specializing in large scale linocuts and installations using collage and various fabric surfaces. Mandy Gunn produces assemblage installations and sculpture using recycled materials.
