Construction sites are the source of inspiration for Sue Jarvis’s recent oils on canvas. Sue investigates the everyday building materials and clothing items that become universally recognisable symbols - hard hats, fluorescent clothing, red and white tape. In capturing the transient nature of a moment in the life of a building in painted colour, shape and pattern, Sue gives symbolic meaning to these objects.
