In the development of artistic capabilities the ownership and articulation of ideas and the crafting of a method or vehicle for their communication is as important as the execution of the work itself. There must also be room, (in a post ideological era) for the viewer to reflect and interpret using the work’s theme more like a lens or telescope than a book or screen. As art has moved from the throne room to the street and on to the mediated experiences of massed individuals, this task has become evermore difficult….and fruitful.
